WEDDINGS: WHAT ARE MY OPTIONS?
When it comes to planning a wedding there is a lot of big decisions that need to be made… Who should we invite? What color should the bridesmaids wear? What will we serve our guests? And the list goes on. However, weddings scheduled in 2020 have a whole other set of big decisions. There are a lot of things to consider for your 2020 wedding amid the COVID-19 worldwide pandemic.
We have looked at the situation, and it appears that our brides and grooms have 3 main options. We would like to dedicate this blog post to examining the benefits of those 3 options.
Phrases like “social distancing”, “stay home” and “shelter in place” were not in our vernacular a few months ago. Now they are over familiar terms we use every day. We have a few more phrases to add to that list, “Micro-Wedding” and “Mini-monies”. With many local areas limiting the amount of people gathering in one place, brides and grooms can choose to downsize their wedding considerably while keeping their original wedding date. You can incorporate some history-making trends like having your guest view the ceremony via Zoom or a having drive-by “parade” receiving line. This option might save you a few dollars and you get the result you are looking for, married.
Let’s face it, even before COVID was a threat to your wedding day dreams coming true, at least once you thought “Let’s just elope”. Well, now is your chance. You would have to admit there is a something romantic about eloping and sharing the moment of saying “I do” with just each other. The beauty of eloping is you can tie the knot as planned and start living out your marital bliss without a wait. This can give you time to plan an amazing reception in the future where you can celebrate your love with all your friends and family. The stresses and butterflies of the ceremony will be behind you and you will be ready to party!
